’pressing matters‘ are all the small, uncomfortable daily moments and microagressions i come across in a fat body, where my counterpart treats my own fatness as invisible or irrelevant, when downgrading or shaming fatness.

the objects are made by pressing silicone, one colour at a time, through a netting tube. the piece is then shaped and the net removed once the silicone has fully cured. finally, a metal tube is added to secure the piercing piece.
